Greetings from all of Connecticut Rainbow as well as The Helpful Heroes (Grand Officers) and The Shooting Stars (Grand Representatives)! Our theme this year is “Hope Anchors the Soul”.

Connecticut will live by our motto “Creating Heroes with Connecticut Rainbow” with our mascot the teddy bear. We will have our anchors and stars with us on every stop we make as our symbols, and we will sing along to the song “Fly” by Maddie and Tae. Our colors are navy, aqua, and cream and our flower will be the day lily.

While creating heroes in Connecticut Rainbow, we will be determined by our quote, “The thing we all had in common wasn’t muscle; it was the will to do whatever it takes” by Chris Kyle.

This year I have chosen the Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp in Milford for our charity project. The Children’s Burn Camp is for children between the ages of 8 to 18 who have survived from life altering burn injuries. It is a place where all of the children are able to overcome their anxieties and help them move beyond their scarring and burn injuries.

I am looking forward to a terrific year serving Connecticut Rainbow. I cannot wait to get everything started and get everyone involved!

Always remember to create some heroes,
Marissa Cosgrove
