Membership in a Pledge Group is open to all girls, 8 to 11 years old. There are no membership fees or dues. Any Assembly desiring to sponsor a Pledge Group should contact the State Pledge Mother for information and assistance. The Assembly Pledge Mother and the Pledge Recorder must be members of an Advisory Board, Majority Members or Rainbow girls* over the age of 18, in good standing. They shall be approved and appointed by the Advisory Board for one year terms beginning in January. The Advisory Board shall secure a location for the Pledge Group to meet. The Pledge Mother shall supervise monthly meetings which must adhere to the Pledge Ritual. She will also provide information for all events to the members and their parents. The Pledge Recorder shall take minutes, read correspondance and maintain attendance records for the Pledge Group. There is no Treasury, however the sponsoring Assembly members may vote to provide basic financial assistance if needed for operating costs. (postage, stationary, arts & crafts, etc.) The Pledge group, aside from their monthly meetings, shall be welcome to participate in all the activities of the sponsoring Rainbow Assembly which are open to the public. Assembly members are encouraged to attend Pledge meetings. All Pledge girls will be encouraged to attend the annual State Pledge Initiation in December as well as the Grand Assembly Banquet and Sunday Sessions. * Rainbow Girls are not permitted to transport Pledge members. Should both Pledge Leaders be Rainbow Girls, an Advisory Board member must be present at all meetings and activities.
